OWB Exception error when a project is saved for some users

Issue/Introduction

Some users cannot save Open Workbench (OWB) projects back to Clarity, and they receive the following error:

"Impossible to save the project <project>. An exception has occurred"

Why is this error happening for some users?

Environment

All Clarity / Open Workbench (OWB) versions.

Cause

Secured subpages in the project object can be the reason for the failure.

Secured subpages automatically create View and Edit rights over the subpage itself.

Resolution

Ensure that the users have appropriate access rights to project subpages. If an attribute is placed on a secured subpage and you do not have the necessary rights to the subpage, you might get an error when trying to save the project from OWB back to Clarity.
