Issue/Introduction

How can we suppress GSVC100W messages that are being sent to SYSLOG?

Environment

Release: FAQSO.00200-14.2-SYSVIEW-Performance Management
Component:SYSVIEW

Resolution

To suppress the GSVW321W message, we should turn to NO following each message at prefix.CNM4BPRM ( CTHRESH) :

SETDEFAULT

JOBNAME =
TRAN =
RSCE =
LIMIT 0
WARNPCT *
TYPE *
RULETYPE AUTO
DURATION 2
TRIGLVL STATUS
PRIORITY 000
MSG YES  <=====  TURN to NO from YES.
LOG
SMF

You can also set the Log parameter to No to prevent it from writing a record to the log. Then, recycle SYSVIEW with COLD start.

In case SYSVIEW is started WARM then the same change can be done from the respective threshold screen. Users can force the SAVE of that change to DATALIB, also the same thing happens automatically when the SYSVIEW shutdown is initiated.
