After installing CEM 6.0 IR2(PTF RO95234), when trying to configure a Datacom database connection for reporting any attempts to connect to the database fail with 'ca.datacom.db.DBIOException: TCP(1128) EDC8128I Connection refused', how do I correct this?

Resolution

In IR2, the Datacom server configuration parameter needs to be modified to enable TCPIP protocol. To do this modify the following member CEMEHLQ.CEMEMLQ.CUSTOM.PARMLIB(CEMESPRM) and change the line:

PROTOCOL=CCI

   to

PROTOCOL=BOTH

After making the change to CEMESPRM restart the Compliance Event Manager Datacom Server task CEMESRVR.
