Issue/Introduction

I am installing the current version of the CA Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS (aka:CA DB2 Tools) on my DB2 v11 subsystem.  I notice that there are older

existing CA DB2 Tools' Tablespaces and Tables from previous versions of the Tools, and want to know the best way to determine if these older versions are still

used by the current version being installed?

Environment

Release:
Component: COMDB2

Resolution

The best way to determine if CA DB2 Tools' Tablespaces and Tables from previous versions are needed in the current version is to generate the post-install Compare

task (0000 job), and examine the ssidDLIN member found in the highlevel.CDBASAMP (control) library of the newly installed release to see if the Tablespaces and

Tables in question exist in this member.  It is the ssidDLIN member that reflects all of the DDL for the given release's products being installed.
