Issue/Introduction

Seeing retired items in DX NetOps Performance Management that were not manually retired

Environment

DX NetOps Performance Management Release : 20.2 or later

Resolution

If you have NFA integrated, you will see retired devices in Performance Management, as per:

TechDocs : DX NetOps Performance Management 22.2 : Manage Device Life Cycles

When the device is retired in NFA, it retires the device in Performance Management.

Then Performance Management automatically discovers the new devices via Changes to Life Cycle Management whereby Life cycle management now supports devices that are assigned an IP address that previously belonged to a retired device. NFA should create a new device and sync that up for the same IP, and we'll discover a new device in DA to go along with it.

The old NFA/DA device should be retired and reportable.

NFA would need to contribute to DA to automatically discover new DA items from NFA otherwise old DA/NFA is retired and we end up with NFA only device.
