CA is involved in a beta program to assist IBM in the development of IBM ABO.
But, CA is not working on adding anything to CA Optimizer/II to support IBM ABO, it is something that IBM ABO would need to add to support our product.
There is nothing that CA can do to "support" IBM ABO. We are not involved in the beta because of CA Optimizer/II, we are involved because we are CA.
IBM does have a plan to support CA Optimizer/II processed modules, and that is to detect them and produce an appropriate error message. To CA that looks like they are doing the right thing.
Both products take the load module and "optimizes" it, and they will not optimize them in the same way (most likely). So again, there is nothing for CA to do here. We are available to help IBM as the product owner told me (if they ask), but there will be no changes to CA Optimizer/II for this.
