Is SYNCSORT a requirement for CA CLEANUP?

Resolution

CA Cleanup requires a sort utility. Either IBM DFSORT, Syncsort, Inc. SYNCSORT or CA CA-SORT will meet this requirement. 

SORT is required to run any of the Cleanup reports and utilities including the database load utility(ETCL#DBU) and the Report and Command Generator Utility (ETCL#RPT).
