Issue/Introduction

I am changing my password 2 days before I have to.  I get a message that the new password is invalid, but I still get logged on.  Why?

Environment

Release:

Resolution

If your password is not expired, your old password is still valid, thus you get logged on.  If you have an expired password, you will get a different error message (such as ACF00124

NEW PASSWORD HAS TOO MANY REPEATING CHARACTERS AND OLD PASSWORD EXPIRED) and the user will not be allowed to logon.
