Does CA Common Services use any type of SMF records?

Resolution

CCS uses SMF records.

CAIRIM, CA LMP and ENF are using and generating the SMF records.

- CAIRIM loads SMF exits (see CAISMFU utility).

- CA LMP keys generate type 89 records..

- ENF does search for SMF records and load them into CSA and also logs them in the ENF database.

The types used depends on the CA products installed.

It gathers information on Jobs for the scheduling products (CA-7, Scheduler and Jobtrac) and also tracks output records for output management products (Dispatch)..
