Are there any alternatives, to copying CA View tapes, that can be used in place of SARPAC?

Resolution

For moving reports to new media, there is no alternative to SARPAC.

SARTCP is run outside of CA View, and is only to be used for the mapping of a tape or for the copying of a tape (duplex to new primary, primary to new duplex) in the event that there is a physical problem with a tape.

SARPAC, for its longer running time, is more than just a means to move reports from one tape to another, as there are efficiencies at work that will ensure that any output tapes will contain only active reports.
