Issue/Introduction

We are running CA Common Services R14.1 and have LSERV tasks active on our customers LPAR. We have CA Endevor installed as well.

We would like to know if LSERV is being used or not. From checking the output for the task it doesn't look it is being used at all.

However we would like to be sure of this before we shutdown these tasks.

How to check Lserv usage?

Environment

CA Common Services R14.1 - Endevor product -

Resolution

You can enter the command:

F LSERV,DISPLAY ALL

This will show if there is any activity against LSERV managed VSAM files.

If there is no activity, then you are not really using LSERV.
