PDSMSMFW-1 SMFWTM Failed RC=24 for Type=B Logging Operation - CA-PDSMAN SMF Logging is Suspended messages are being issued after I changed the SMFID value. How do I resolve this?

Resolution

The return code 24 is being issued is because the SMFID=NNN record is not being recorded on this system. You should
review your system SMF recording options.
 
See the SYS1.PARMLIB(SMFPRMxx)
 
You should see the record number specified (NNN) .
 
SMFID=NNN    specifies a SMF record that is actually being recorded.
