Detector for DB2 for z/OS Subsystem Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Can the Detector for Db2 for z/OS (PDT) and Subsystem Analyzer for Db2 for z/OS (PSA) batch utility jobs be run with Xmanager down?

Resolution

Xmanager must be up when you run the PDT and PSA utility jobs. Otherwise you will receive a 36 condition code in the utility job, along with the message:
Unable to establish XMANAGER connection

Regarding collections, the create jobs (PDTDSALC, PSADSALC, PDTCPALC and PDTRPALC) can be run while collections are active.
The remaining jobs (PDTDSCPY, PSADSCPY, PDTCPCPY, PDTRPCPY, PDTDSDEL, PSADSDEL, PDTCPDEL, PDTRPDEL) should be ran when the
collections are not active.
