CA Network Flow Analysis (NetQos / NFA)

Issue/Introduction

While using NFA you may run into an issue where the RedHat Linux NFA Harvester's nfa_reaper service will no stay in a "running" state. It will appear as if the service starts properly, but it stops shortly after.

Environment

Component : NQRPTA - REPORTERANALYZER

Cause

The /$installdir/CA/NFA/DBUsers/ReporterAnalyzer.ini is in Windows format.

Resolution

1. Run: "dos2unix /$installdir/CA/NFA/DBUsers/ReporterAnalyzer.ini"

There should be an output such as: "dos2unix: converting file ReporterAnalyzer.ini to Unix format ..."

2. Run: service nfa_reaper restart

The service should now start and stay in the "running" state.
