Issue/Introduction

We want to use a third-party monitoring software (e.g. HP SiteScope) to login to APM WebView and track those logins via the APM WebView Agent.  What do we need to setup for doing this?

Environment

All current supported versions of APM with WebView enabled.

Resolution

APM WebView requires form-based authentication  So, if your third-party monitoring software uses HTTP-based authentication, WebView will not recognize this and no authentication will take place even if sending your username and password.

Additional Information

An example of a third-party monitoring software that can login to APM WebView is CA App Synthetic Monitor, which uses HTTP based and form based authentication.
