I used to load a huge number of CIs into the MDB via the GRLoader. Sometimes the input file has attribute names that were misspelled or the attributes are customized fields that don´t exist in the MDB. The CIs will be created but for every CI a warning will be paged in the error file like:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <GRLoader> <ci> <!--WARNING: Attributes(z_mac_addres) do not apply to class(Bridge) family(Network.Bridge)--> <id>A285239F7D4F0643971057B51A90C5CF</id> <name>Printer005</name> <system_name>Printer005 system name new</system_name> <serial_number>888882</serial_number> <dns_name>dns Printer005 dns</dns_name> <class>Bridge</class> <z_mac_addres>82:90:114</z_mac_addres> </ci> </GRLoader>
Is there any way to avoid these kinds of warnings?
Starting with CA Service Desk Manager 12.9 a new option has been introduced to the GRLoader. If you use the -iia option in the GRLoader statement, the invalid attributes will be ignored and no warning messages will be generated.
