Non Working days behavior in New UX Timesheet Population

Issue/Introduction

How do Non Working days behave in Timesheet Population in the Clarity New User Experience (UX) versus Working Days when using the various options to create a timesheet?

These scenarios include the below timesheet creation options: 

• Add Assigned Tasks
• Copy Previous Timesheet
• Copy Previous Timeheet with Hours

Environment

Release: All Supported
Component: PPMTMM

Resolution

If the timesheet is created using the Add Assigned Tasks feature:

• The task behavior is the same for Non Working Days versus Working days. (If the task dates fall only during non working days, the task will still be added.)

If the timesheet is created using the Copy Previous Timesheet feature:

• The task behavior is the same for Non Working Days versus Working days. 

If the timesheet is created using the Copy Previous Timesheet (with Hours) feature:

• Hours are not copied over for non working days. This includes the below scenarios:
  
  • Hours are entered on a non working day in the prior timesheet, but that same day of the week is a working day in the next time sheet, the task is copied over, but hours are not copied over.  
  • This is the same if the task has hours entered on a working day in the previous timesheet, but that same day is a non working day in the timesheet hours are being copied to hours are not copied over.

If task dates only fall within the dates of a non working day on a timesheet, that won’t impact whether the task shows up in a timesheet with any of the above scenarios
