We have noticed that QDP has the Templates button. This button is not available in EDP.
Furthermore, QDP created templates are only available in QDP, while EDP templates are available on EDP only.
Is that by design? Must we duplicate our templates?
The short answer is 'Yes'.
EDP is an older technology which will soon be retired and replaced by FDP (Full Details Page). In the EDP technology it was possible to create templates for each individual field.
QDP is a newer technology which works entirely separate and different than EDP. The templates offered in QDP allow you to define presets for many of the artifact fields, not just one field.
At this time, the QDP templates are unavailable and can not be shared with EDP as true vice versa as well.
However, EDP which is an old technology is soon going to be replaced by FDP. FDP is based on the same technology as QDP and therefore will share the same templates as QDP.
