Datacom DATACOM - AD

Issue/Introduction

We are in the process of converting to DATACOM R15. We have broken this into to phases which I am simplifying as noted.

Phase one has been completed by running job AXACTUPG which has been successful. We are now in the process of completing phase 2 by running jobs AXACTALC, AXACTDD1 and AXACTDD2. After all was successful we noticed that the CXX DBID 1000 CASYSTEMTABLES DEFINITION was still at VERSION 14.0. We then happen to notice that there was a 4th job AXACTDYN that is no where mentioned in your current CA DATACOM/AD r15 Date: 23-May-2018 but did happen to find it in one of your older manuals Dated 11-Aug-2016.

Well needless to say trying to run this job against the DATACOM we have for CA11 which fails with:
DB00605E - DBUTLTY COMM CONSOLE BAD CONTEXT - SYSTEMDBID_DELETE.

Environment

z/os, CA Datacom/AD 15.0

Resolution

APAR RO95838 removes the need to execute AXACTDYN.

The CA Datacom/AD 15.0 does not document job AXACTDYN since it is not used anymore.

Additional Information

so, DBID 100 will show the following for example:
DB00915I - CXX DBID 1000 CASYSTEMTABLES DEFINITION VERSION 14.0 CHANGE LEVEL 0
instead of
DB00915I - CXX DBID 1000 CASYSTEMTABLES DEFINITION VERSION 15.0 CHANGE LEVEL 0.0

But that is OK. CA Datacom/AD 15.0 does not use the new Dynamic System Tables coming with 15.0 upgrade

AXACTDYN job has been removed to simplify the Active Upgrade process and prevent error such as:
DB00605E - DBUTLTY COMM CONSOLE BAD CONTEXT - SYSTEMDBID_DELETE.
