Error 1 in loading CA ControlMinder kernel

Issue/Introduction

CA PIM 12.8 SP1 was installed on OEL Kernel 4.1.12-94.7.8.el6uek.x86_64 #2 SMP Thu Jan 11 20:41:01 PST 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux 
When ran the command selaod. it did not load PIM kernel

Cause

UEFI Secure Boot was enabled in this Oracle Exadata machine. 

Environment

OS: OEL Kernel -4.1.12-94.7.8.el6uek.x86_64 #2 SMP Thu Jan 11 20:41:01 PST 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux 
CA Privileged Identity Manager(PIM): 12.8 SP1


 

Resolution

Once UEFI Secure Boot was disabled in this Oracle Exadata machine, CA Privileged Identity Manager(PIM) kernel loded fine.

in OEL Exadata machine Secure Boot needs to be disabled to load CA Privileged Identity Manager(PIM) kernel
