Issue/Introduction

Spectrum OnlineBackup is failing. After enabling Online Backup debugging in the Dynamic Debugging subview in the Information tab of the VNM model, seeing the following error message in the VNM.OUT file:

May 01 09:40:25 OLB TRACE at CsIHOB.cc(2118): SSdbsave return bad exit code - 1

Cause

No read/write permissions to the Backup Directory specified in the Online Database Backup subview in the Information tab of the VNM model.

Resolution

On Linux, ensure the permissions to the Backup Directory specified in the Online Database Backup subview in the Information tab of the VNM model are set so the user that owns the Spectrum installation has read/write permissions.

On Windows, ensure the permissions to the Backup Directory specified in the Online Database Backup subview in the Information tab of the VNM model are set so the user that owns the Spectrum installation and/or the Spectrum Users Group has read/write permissions.
