Unable to install probes on linux robot Error inst_pkg failed

Issue/Introduction

• Robot manually installed
• robot appears in IM
• probe deployment fails
• following error seen in distsrv.log

distsrv: sockConnect - connect to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 48000 failed 10060 
distsrv: nimNamedSession: failed to connect session to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:48000 10060 
distsrv: inst_pkg failed: communication error 
distsrv: Error 1 with cdm: inst_pkg failed: communication error

Cause

• Distsrv cannot connect to port 48000 on robot
• The IPtables firewall on the linux robot was blocking access to port 48000

Resolution

• Disable IPtables firewall or configure it to allow access to port 48000
