Issue/Introduction
Why after having discovered 'servers' devices with SNMP on port 161, they are reachable and appears listed in CA Performance Center, but are showing only 'availability' data? Why are these servers not showing any CPU and Disk data, which are the statistics customer wants to report on?
Environment
Release: Component: IMAGGR
Resolution
An SNMP agent should be running and responsive on the servers to collect and monitor the specific CPU and Disk data.
Ensure the standard SNMP agent (net-SNMP on Linux OS, default SNMP agent on Windows OS), or the CA SystemEdge agent is running and functioning correctly on the servers being monitored.
Depending on what SNMP agent is running on the servers, it will provide what MIB data is or is not supported and can be collected by CA Performance Management. If the relevant OIDs are not in the agent MIB, then CA Performance Management is not going to collect and show the data in dashboards.
