We just attempted to upgrade CA DADS Plus CICS from CTS 5.1 to CTS 5.3 we are now receiving an S0C4 abend in DADSPI01 at CICS startup time.

Issue/Introduction

We are running  CA DADS Plus CICS 4.0 and we just attempted to upgrade one of our CICS/TS regions from V5.1 to V5.3. Running under V5.1 DADS Plus CICS successfully initializes.
Running under V5.3 we are now receiving an 0C4 in DADSPI01 offset X'FFFFFFFF' at CICS Startup time.

Cause

The client did not have on the CA DADS Plus CICS r 4.0 CTS 5.3 fixes applied to their SMP/E environment. The CA DADS Plus CICS PTFS CTS 5.3 certification fixes are
 
Service pack 2 plus PTFS RO10396, RO70937 and RO88141
 
The CA DADS Plus for CICS r 4.0 compatibility fixes can be found on the CA web site.
 

 

Resolution

The client will apply the CA DADS Plus CICS r 4.0 CTS 5.3 compatibility fixes and recycle CICS pointing to this new fix level.
