Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to Spectrum 10.2.3, and starting a “Save to Startup Task” for the ‘Cisco IOS – SSH Capable’ and ‘Cisco IOS’ device families, you may receive the below error:

SPC-OCC-11528 Missing Device Username.

Environment

Spectrum 10.2.3

Cause

If you check the Device Family -> Information -> Device Configuration Transfer Settings tab you should have the following configured:

Resolution

In order to resolve this issue, please clear the credentials out of the first row of the table and enter them into the second row of the table as follows:

Once this is set, please re-run the “Save to Startup Task” and it should now run successfully.

If you have performed the above steps and are still experiencing this issue or any other issues, please do not hesitate to contact Spectrum Support for assistiance.

Additional Information

This is a known issue and a permanent resolution will be included in the Spectrum 10.3.0 release.

NOTE: By right-clicking the table columns and selecting "Sort" - this will rearrange the table and put the credentials back on line 1 and reproduce the issue. For a more stable workaround, try adding credentials to each line of the table. Thus even if the table is "sorted" there will always be credentials on line 2 which is the line that works.
