Creating the sysinfo file in PAM to request a new PAM license..

Issue/Introduction

In order to generate the license for the PAM server appliance, we need to provide hardware related information to Broadcom (Global Customer Assistance - licensing). This information is contained in the System Info file (aka sysinfo file). This document shows how to generate this file from within the PAM User Interface.

Environment

Product: Symantec Privileged Access Manager.
Version: All supported PAM versions

Cause

Request For Information (RFI)

Resolution

1. Login to the  the PAM GUI (Graphical User Interface).

2. Once logged into PAM GUI , click on the 'System Info' as shown below.

3. The 'System Info' pane shows up as shown below.


4. Click on the downward arrow icon close to the right top corner of the screen as shown below and save the sysinfo file.

Use the downloaded file to request a new license for PAM.
