Issue/Introduction

Load Data Warehouse job (DWH) with (Full Load) option fails with error similar to:

Error occurred while processing domain attributes. Could not update attribute <X> of object <Y> to domain CSK_<Z>_Management

Examples:

  • Error occurred while processing domain attributes. Could not update attribute sr_cost_effort_status_key of object cop_prj_statusrpt to domain CSK_PRJ_Management
  • Error occurred while processing domain attributes. Could not update attribute test_key of object inv to domain CSK_IDE_Management

Environment

All Supported Clarity Releases

Cause

  • When upgrading Jaspersoft and advanced reporting content, the domain data that is imported can get corrupted
  • This can also happen on deleting/updating custom attributes which create a mismatch between domains and Clarity metadata tables

Resolution

IMPORTANT: Before applying the solution please ensure you do not have any customizations applied to the domains or custom domains and kept under the CA PPM folder as it will overwrite to out of box status.

Step 1: Restore Domains using one of the options below

Option 1: Run the Restore Domains job

This will restore domains to their original state and dynamically update these domains with the appropriate custom objects and attributes.

OR

Option 2: Execute the following admin command on the Clarity Application Server

admin content-jaspersoft csk restoreDomains -userName superuser -password superuser

NOTE: The Restore Domains Job will not complete if you do not have Jaspersoft correctly configured.

Step 2:  Run Load Data Warehouse job - Full Load

Once the above step completes successfully re-run the Load DWH job in Full mode
