How to prevent the "CONTACT LOST TO NETWORK MODELS" alarm in Spectrum

Issue/Introduction

How to prevent the "CONTACT LOST TO NETWORK MODELS" alarm in Spectrum when contact is lost to all of the models contained within a container model like a LAN or NETWORK model.

Environment

Release: Any
Component: SPCAEM - Events and Alarms

Resolution

There are 2 possible solutions:

 

1- Set the "AlarmFromRollup" attribute id 0x11ace on the container model to "No". This will prevent a future "CONTACT LOST TO NETWORK MODELS" alarm from being asserted on the model.

 

If somehow the option 1 does not work you can use the following:

 

2- Set the "Value_When_Red" attribute id 0x1000e on the container model to "0". Then when contact is lost to models within the Network Container, it will turn blue and not red. And the "CONTACT LOST TO NETWORK MODELS" alarm will not be generated.
