Is ranking of the User Stories the same as Tasks ?

Resolution

Ranking of User Stories is not the same as ranking of Tasks. Tasks have an Index, which orders them within the work item (Defect, Story) they are associated to, and that is not related to how User Stories are ranked. When you have a custom list for Tasks which is Ordered by Rank, that is actually using the Task Index, not Rank as in case of User Stories.
