Issue/Introduction

This article provides resolution steps for the error "Displaying specific widgets of the Management UI requires login" encountered when configuring the Connector Server within the Identity Governance administration portal.

Environment

Identity Governance 14.5

Cause

This error occurs due to a credential mismatch between the Identity Governance property settings (jcs.ui.password) and the active Connector Server password, or an incorrect jcs.ui.url configuration when the services are hosted on different servers.

Resolution

1. Verify and Synchronize Credentials

  1. Log in to the Identity Governance administration portal.
  2. Navigate to the Property Settings page.
  3. Locate the jcs.ui.password field.
  4. Ensure the password defined matches the current password set for the Connector Server.
  5. If the password is unknown, reset the Connector Server password.
  6. Update the jcs.ui.password in Identity Governance to match the new password.
  7. Restart the Connector Server (JCS) service.

2. Configure Remote Server URL

If Identity Governance and the Connector Server are installed on different servers, the default URL may be incorrect:

  1. Locate the jcs.ui.url property in Identity Governance settings.
  2. The default value is http://localhost:20080/jcs_osgi_ui/.
  3. Update this value to replace localhost with the specific IP address or FQDN of the remote Connector Server.
  4. Save the changes and restart the Identity Governance service.
