This article explains two different methods of changing a "NimBUS" or "UIM" users password. These are users that are able to login to Infrastructure Manager and are not associated with an Account.
The first method assumes we are the user and we currently have our password.
The second method changes another user's password and assumes we have the rights to do so.
Environment
Unified Infrastructure Manager 7.6 and above
Infrastructure Manager 4.10 or higher
Resolution
If you are the user and know your current password:
Log in to Infrastructure Manager as that user
Go to Security - > Change Password
A password prompt will appear to reset the password.
If you want to change another user's password and have sufficient rights to change the password.
Login as the user with escalated permissions in the Infrastructure Manager
Click Security -> User Administration
Right Click the administrator user, and Select User
Select "Set Password" to reset the administrator user password.
