How to change UIM user password in Infrastructure Manager

Issue/Introduction

• This article explains two different methods of changing a "NimBUS" or "UIM" users password. These are users that are able to login to Infrastructure Manager and are not associated with an Account.
• The first method assumes we are the user and we currently have our password.
• The second method changes another user's password and assumes we have the rights to do so.

Environment

• Unified Infrastructure Manager 7.6 and above
• Infrastructure Manager 4.10 or higher

Resolution

If you are the user and know your current password:

1. Log in to Infrastructure Manager as that user
2. Go to Security - > Change Password
3. A password prompt will appear to reset the password.

If you want to change another user's password and have sufficient rights to change the password.

1. Login as the user with escalated permissions in the Infrastructure Manager
2. Click Security -> User Administration
3. Right Click the administrator user, and Select User
4. Select "Set Password" to reset the administrator user password.
