MQLIST shows all MQ running on LPAR

Issue/Introduction

I am trying to remove the invalid MQ regions from the MQLISTS panel/screen. When this sysplex was created it was a copy of a development system. In the MQLISTS screen there is only 1 valid MQ region and I would like to remove the other 54. This is a sandbox plex so I can delete all data in the DATALIB cache or what ever it would take to clear the invalid MQ regions. Sysview has to store these MQ region names somewhere so it would seem it would be possible to remove them.

Resolution

The MQLIST display scans the list of defined subsystems and determines which ones are MQ. You will need to clean up the subsystem definitions in the IEFSSNxx member(s) of your System PARMLIB concatenation and delete any of the MQ subsystems that you don't want. These subsystems will also show up on the SUBSYS display.
