Disk Backup and Restore - MVS DISK BACKUP AND RESTORE- ADD-ON OPTIO DISK BACKUP AND RESTORE

Issue/Introduction

After installing the maintenance for Disk™ Backup and Restore, deployed the new PTF level to LOADLIB.NEW on volume VOLXX2. In order to activate the LOADLIB.NEW, I would like to rename the current LOADLIB on VOLXX1 to LOADLIB.OLD first and then rename the LOADLIB.NEW on VOLXX2 to LOADLIB.  The Disk™ Backup and Restore health check owner has the LOADLIB on VOLXX1 assigned as TASKLIB. How to assign the new LOADLIB on VOLXX2 as TASKLIB to the Health Checks?

Resolution

As the TASKLIB for a Health Check owner can't be modified, perform the following steps:
- Be sure that no DISK jobs are running.
- S DMSAR,DMSAR=REMOVE to delete Health checks (it deletes current OWNERxxx)
- Perform renames and then
- S DMSAR,DMSAR=INSTALL to re-install the Health Checks, which creates new OWNERxxx with new TASKLIB data set.
