Issue/Introduction

Status Reports created in CA Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) Classic UI (via Home->Projects->Project->Status Reports) are not displaying in the New User Experience (UX).  One may be visible per project but after initial access in the New UX, it's no longer visible.

Resolution

As per product management, only status reports that originate from the new UX would be displayed in the new UX because the new UX generates and displays .pdf status reports.  The classic UX does not generate status reports in .pdf format and therefore are not available in new UX.

The only exception to this rule is when you first access the Status Report screen:
  • For the first access, PPM picks up the latest status report (based on create date regardless of status – draft or final) so there is something to generate in the preview pane. This would explain why you see “some” (specifically one per project) legacy status reports, but not all.
  • After the initial access, only status reports generated in the new UX will be visible because they have a PDF to display.
