Issue/Introduction

How can we configure the Forgotten Password reset to identity Users by email address rather than the User ID?

Resolution

To change the Forgotten Password reset to identity Users by email address rather than the User ID

Edit the Forgotten Password admin task.

On the Search tab, Edit "Forgotten Password Search"

in the "Question and Answer Settings" section, for the "Prompt for primary verification screen" Click Browse next to the "Forgotten Password Verify" box

Click Edit on the "Forgotten Password Verify" screen

Then click the Edit pencil next to "UserID" and change that to use "Primary Email"



Once you save this, the Forgotten Password will prompt for Email address instead of UserID.
