Issue/Introduction
Noticed Started Task for TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) issuing many commands of VARY TCPIP,TCPIP,PKTTRACE,ON,LINKNAME=*,PROT=254. Noticed they are coming from the NetMaster SSI address space and vary in frequency from 30 seconds to hours, to not at all. What triggers the command to be issued and is there any way we can prevent it from being issued so regularly?

Resolution
In 2015 we introduced the exploitation of the TCP/IP TRACE NMI via PTF RO80964. This is now our 'best practice' in how to use the packet analyzer. With using this approach there is no need for us to do those VARY TCPIP's. We suggest implementing RO80964, along with other PATREACENMI PTF's such as RO88666 & RO97633.
