Issue/Introduction

Status of the interface SYSVIEW PM to Sysview Performance Management Option for Db2 for z/OS (IDB2) is displayed as NOTCONNECTED.

XNET Port nnnn Status NOTCONNECTED  

Checking for any error messages over the started tasks (SYSVIEW PM, Xnet, Xmanager or SYSVIEW for DB2) and there is not any error message about what failed.

Resolution

Parameters to define the SYSVIEW PM to SYSVIEW for Db2 interface are in SVWLDB2 member.
There are two possible values for parameter XNET-Hostname, localhost or nnn.n.n.n, normally 'localhost' is sufficient for most installations
but we have found nnn.n.n.n is necessary for the interface to work properly in some environments.
