What is the quickest way to obtain specific maintenance by solution number?


Executing any Broadcom Mainframe product and obtaining maintenance through Support Online.


Upon researching and discovering what maintenance may be necessary to resolve a known problem or necessary for an OEM software upgrade, customers may not be aware of the simplest method to obtain the maintenance by solution number.  This article will show the quickest method to obtain the desired maintenance.


  1. Sign on to the Support Online website
  2. From the Home Page, click on the "Mainframe Software"  link.
  3. On the resulting display, click on the "Product Downloads" link.
  4. From the next display, "Download Management" enter the product name in the dropdown box.
  5. The product name will appear in grey box below the dropdown, click on the grey box.
  6. On the next page, the product name will appear at the top and beneath that is a choice of
    product downloads (default) or solution downloads, click on solution downloads
  7. The resulting display will show the product and the different supported releases, click on the desired release
  8. On the next display, beneath a search box, all maintenance for that release will be listed newest to oldest.
    The search box offers a choice of solution/fix number, release, component, or title. 
  9. Fill in the desired search criteria - in this case, fix number, and click the search box.
  10. The requested fix will be displayed, click on the title in blue
  11. The resulting display will allow for the download - either ftp or through the browser
  12. If requesting multiple fix numbers you must choose to download it or add it to a cart before requesting the next fix.
  13. For multiple fixes, it is probably more efficient to add them to a cart and download the cart all at once
    The cart will consist of a zip file containing each requested fix.
  14. Repeat step 13 as often as needed.
  15. When all fixes are added to the cart, click on the word cart at the top of the page.
  16. Checkout on the next page to display the download options as per step 11.  
  17. Once downloaded, the fix(es) can be uploaded to the mainframe to apply
