Issue/Introduction

If you are using Network Containers in Spectrum and have Chassis Devices modeled inside the Network Container, you will get both critical alarms CONTACT LOST TO NETWORK MODELS alarm as well as the CHASSIS DOWN alarm(s) for the device(s) inside the container.,

Is it possible to suppress the CHASSIS DOWN alarm when we lose all devices inside of a network container and only alarm on CONTACT LOST TO NETWORK MODELS in Spectrum?

Environment

Any Spectrum version

Resolution

By default we do not correlate CONTACT LOST TO NETWORK MODELS alarms with CHASSIS DOWN alarms, therefore if you model devices inside of a Network Container and lose the Network Container you will get both alarms.

It is possible to use Condition Correlation Editor to setup a correlation between CONTACT LOST TO NETWORK MODELS alarms with CHASSIS DOWN alarms, and suppress the CHASSIS DOWN alarms, so that only CONTACT LOST TO NETWORK MODELS alarms is showing.
