Issue/Introduction
The Privacy Protocol filed doesn’t show up in the SNMP Host Details Definition in the Netmaster region when running SNMPv3. As a result, it fails me from adding the privacy code. The snapshot of the panel will be attached later.
Environment
Release: SLOPFC00200-12.1-NetMaster-File Transfer Management Component:
Cause
Fixes were applied to the *EXEC libries and/or LOAD library but the ++HOLD data was not implemented to copy updates from the *VSMI staging files to the VSAM files of the failing regions.
Resolution
This is general, not just for this instance: When maintenance is applied that has ++HOLD requiring that an NMVIP job be run to copy data to VSAM, unexpected results will occur.
The easiest way to remedy this is to re-run the complete S0xLDVIP job from your region setup library to the Netmaster region with the proble. It will bring all VSAM files up to the latest available maintenance.
Alternatively, if you have one system that is working and another that is failing when both should be at the same level of maintenance, you can copy the PANLDIS, MODSDIS and OSCNTL (the last applies to Netmaster 12.1 and below) from the working system over to the problem system and it should also correct the problem.
