Issue/Introduction

Screen D-Lk/T-Out LOCKCONT is for Lock Timeout and Deadlock History is this available under the Thread History option?

CA SYSVIEW for DB2 has the option 5 for Active Threads This option is for threads Identified to DB2 showing all users currently connected to DB2 where if we are looking for Lock Timeouts or Deadlocks information then you must choose the option 4 D-Lk/T-Out.
D-Lk/T-Out is for Lock Timeout and Deadlock History where this request records the deadlocks and timeouts handled by the DB2 subsystem.
This information for Deadlocks and Lock Timeouts is very importan in Real Time.
Also, in the main menu of CA Sysview for DB2 there is the option 6 for Thread History.
This option has not information for D-Lk/T-Out.
Question: Where do we get information about D-Lk/T-Out for Thread History?

Environment

Z/os DB2

Resolution

The D-Lk/T-Out option is the LOCKCONT screen which uses the LOCK-TO-DETAIL record. This is not available under 6 Thread History You can run a batch Report to get the History of locking using the
LOCK-TO-DETAIL record See the BTLKCONT batch report.
