CA SOLVE LINKING WITH REMOTE SOLVE WHERE IT HAVE NO SHARED DASD

Issue/Introduction

Customer tries to LINK to SOLVE region. The DASD between linked SOLVE are not shared. Is there any problem to link to SOLVE where there are no shared DASD between SOLVEs.

Does CA SOLVE has a requirement to have shared DASD to INMC or APPC link.?

Resolution

When you submit a Link between Solve region, you should specify which access method you want to implement. This includes VTAM, EPS and TCPIP. Most of the time VTAM is used additionally with EPS and sometimes with TCPIP. 
The DASD does not have any impact on the INMC or APPC link.
