Detector for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

If Detector is installed a table can be selected from Subsystem Analyzer and all executed SQL activity that referenced the table can be viewed. By viewing the SQL, the viewer can determine whether it referenced the table using sequential access or index access. All SQL activity that has used a selected index can also be viewed .

SQL activity is seen correctly related to a specific table, but also activity to other tables that are RI related with this table and not updated. Why?

Environment

Subsystem Analyzer synchronizing with Detector

Resolution

DB2 is checking that RI constraints are not violated and this results in activity on tables that are not directly updated for example, Inserts on a child table could result in Getpages on the index of the parent table.
