Issue/Introduction

This document describes how to use the TIME and DATE selection criteria in Performance Monitor reports when requesting a time period within one day.

When running Performance Monitor reports, the data requested can be limited by input FROM and THRU data and time parameters.

Environment

CA-IDMS, all supported release.

Resolution

When running Performance Monitor reports and using FROM and THRU time and date parameters to limit the time span upon which the report is being run, care must be taken if the data requested is within one day.

For example, the following will not give the required result:-

REPORT FROM 10:20 THRU 10:30 ON 03/28/14

This syntax omits the FROM date and therefore the default of 01/01/00 will be used, resulting in more data being processed than expected. In order to report on the time span between 10:20 and 10:30 on March 28, 2014, the following syntax must be used:-

REPORT FROM 10:20 ON 03/28/14 THRU 10:30 ON 03/28/14
