Disable the Guest login functionality in Service Desk Manager and xFlow

Issue/Introduction

Is there an option to disable the "Guest Login" functionality on the Service Desk Manager and xFlow login page?

Environment

Service Desk Manager  17.x

xFlow 17.x

All Supported Operating Systems

Resolution

  1. Login to Service Desk with administrator privileges
  2. Navigate to Administration --> Options Manager --> Security
  3. In the Option List (right-hand pane), select guest_user_name, click EDIT and then de-install the option.  Use the Refresh button until the Action Status is Not Installed
  4. Recycle the Service Desk Manager Service, the xFlow service or restart the server
  5. Clear web browser cache
  6. Start the Service Desk and/or xFlow interface via a web browser. 

The above steps will remove the "Guest Login" possibility on the login page.
