Issue/Introduction

This article provides the configuration requirements for resolving JNDI endpoint account deletion and deprovisioning failures encountered in Identity Manager (CAIM) 14.2.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5

Cause

An undocumented configuration change in CAIM 14.2 introduces new required parameters in the connector.xml file. Failure to include these parameters or the presence of outdated blocking configurations causes the JNDI connector to fail during deletion operations.

Resolution

  1. Copy the sample connector.xml file to your deployment directory.
  2. Open the connector.xml file and add the following property to support dynamic groups: forcePagedResults = false
  3. To resolve the deletion error, locate the disableDeleteAssociations block in the connector.xml and comment it out entirely.
  4. Save the connector.xml file and restart the service to apply changes.
