Can we monitor whether portal database is running or not from Portal GUI?

Resolution

There is nothing in the API Portal GUI that monitors the API Portal's db/mysql service. However, there are parts of the API Portal application that will throw errors/fail if it cannot connect to the lrs db. The organizations and applications are stored in the database, so those pages will likely throw errors, and the db is required for logging in as well.
