Issue/Introduction

Process Automation needs unrestricted access to the Orchestrator engine files and the temporary directory for scripts.

Environment

Process Automation 4.3.x and above

Resolution

Please exclude the following folders from any activities that will lock the files while the Orchestrator is running:

  1. Orchestrator Folder to include the engine and Active MQ:

    <pam_install_dir> - such as C:\Program Files\CA\PAM\

  2. Script file Temporary directory. Review the <pam_install_dir>\server\c2o\.config\OasisConfig.properties file and look for the directory specified for scripts.tmpDir.

Exclude this directory, or with the Orchestrator engine stopped, modify this setting in the OasisConfig.properties by changing it to a folder that is already excluded or can be excluded.

  3. Additionally, if you are running Process Automation with a software load balancer such as NGiNX or Apache, the nginx or apache folders on the load balancer server will need to have an exclusion created for them.
