Resolution

When using transfer tables during a transfer you may specify CODETABL=<xxx> where <xxx> can be any combination of characters. This allows you to use a specific transfer table for a transfer and frees you from the restriction of one transfer table for all transfers.

But when you code CODETABL=<xxx> you need to provide both tables: the <xxx>atoe.tab for transfers from ASCII to EBCDIC and <xxx>etoa.tab for transfers from EBCDIC to ASCII. If one of both tables is missing the transfer is not executed and error messages
