Receiving unknown alert type error with generic supervision

Issue/Introduction

After configuring Alerting Rules on a Dollar Universe node with notification set to use Generic Supervision, instead of the status being reported properly, an error message like the following is being logged to the u_spv_com.log file: 

ERROR:Unknown alert type "UNIV ABORTED JOB ...."

Environment

Dollar Universe v6.x 

Resolution

Under the Dollar Universe Node Settings, navigate to Alert Settings, then to Alerting Compatibility Options.
The value for "Compatibility mode for supervision scripts" has to be set to "V6.0".
​If it is not, you will get the unknown alert type error message.
